From Immersive and Service Learning to SoTL: A Look at the Lilly Greensboro 2010 Poster Awards
2:00 - 3:00pm Eastern

The Lilly Greensboro 2010 Conference on Teaching and Learning in February (4-7) featured 146 sessions; 25 of these were poster sessions.  On-site peer evaluation of these posters placed 3 of these posters as exemplary.  This Friday Live! invites these award winning poster presenters to share their experiences, outcomes and research insights.  Students and faculty from Elon University walk us through Immersion Africa: Student Innovations and Approaches to Complex Global Problems sharing their insights regarding complex social, political and economic problems and their action-oriented responses, sustainable projects and awareness-building initiatives.  Annette Greer and Susan Martin Meggs of East Carolina University describe an interdisciplinary engaged service learning experience in Converging Art & Health: An Evidence-Based Approach to Innovation in Learning.  Jennie De Gagne, North Carolina Central University and Suk-Sun Kim, Duke University share the insights and recommendations that emerge from their study of online education in the US.

Don't forget that you can register for a FridayLive! FASTPASS.  This enables you to attend FridayLive! every session without registering.

NOTE:  Login instructions for the session will be sent in the Registration Confirmation Email. Please check your Junk folder as sometimes these emails get trapped there. We will also send an additional login reminder 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
