Friday Not Live
Spring 2015 Book Discussion Series: An Unnecessary Woman
Rabih Alameddine (2014)
Presenters: Steve Gilbert, Sally Gilbert, Beth Dailey, TLT Group and others

There will not be a synchronous event on this Friday.  Instead join us on Wednesday, June 24th.  In the mean time, you may want to review the resources below and read at least some of the book and participate in an asynchronous discussion,

A key question we would like you to address in the asynchronous discussion is this:

  • In what ways do you think this book relates to teaching, learning and technology?

More information about the June 24th event here.
Some others questions you also may want to to consider:
  • What do writing and reading mean to us?
  • What does being educated mean?
  • What does it mean to live a necessary life?
  • What significance is there for the learner if the result is shared, saved or not?
  • Does it matter whether you read the whole book?  Do you have to do the whole assignment?
Short Resources. Consider reviewing these to help you decide whether to read the book or instead of reading the book. It's a great book!!
This is an interesting piece to read in addition to the book.
