Summer Experiment
Book Discussion Series: An Unnecessary Woman
Rabih Alameddine (2014)
Presenters: Steve Gilbert, Sally Gilbert, Beth Dailey, TLT Group and others

We invite you to read the book and/or review the resources below, then participate in an asynchronous discussion using TodaysMeet. This link will take you to the conversation.

A key question we would like you to address in the asynchronous discussion is this:

  • In what ways do you think this book relates to teaching, learning and technology?
Our synchronous discussion will take place in ZOOM on June 24th at 10:00 AM ET. Use this link to get to the ZOOM room,  Allow time to download the plugin.

Some others questions you also may want to to consider as you read are as follows:
  • What do writing and reading mean to us?
  • What does being educated mean?
  • What does it mean to live a necessary life?
  • What significance is there for the learner if the result is shared, saved or not?
  • Does it matter whether you read the whole book?  Do you have to do the whole assignment?
Short Resources. Consider reviewing these to help you decide whether to read the book or instead of reading the book. It's a great book!!
This is an interesting piece to read in addition to the book.
