Two simple instructional resources (Games?) for coping with Fake News.

We’ll introduce, demonstrate, discuss, improve 2 simple survey forms (Google Forms) that can be used  to help students and others cope more effectively with the rising flood and confusing variety of Fake News and (Un)Reliable Information:

  • Fake News Triage Decision Game (Try it now! )

  • Fake News Item Detection Game

Triage for Information Reliability

Review purposes and approach.

Updates from the TLT Group’s ad hoc Fake News Series.

Review “1-Pager” - brief selection of challenges, recommendations, guidelines, and other resources for those who want to BEGIN taking action within higher education:  students, faculty, researchers, scholars, librarians, and other academic professionals.

Exchange more examples.

We still need more:

  • Demonstrate the variety of instructional activities and resources that can help students (and other citizens) to deal constructively with Fake News etc.

New varieties of relevant Fake News(?)
