Description
We've heard a lot recently about many kinds of Open Educational Resources, but how can someone get started quickly and effectively? In this session, we will suggest several simple ways.
We'll discuss OER (state-sponsored) initiatives and online resources.
We'll introduce "open pedagogy" strategies and suggest how they can be used in your own courses - especially to take advantage of open textbooks. We'll also provide examples of leveraging Creative Commons licensing to create and share your own open content.
