When Worlds Collide: Blending Pedagogy and Technology in Faculty Development

March 18, 2011 at 2pm ET - free to all.

Presenters: Robert Crow and Laura Cruz, Western Carolina University

This interactive session will explore cultural and sociological barriers to the effective integration of pedagogy and technology in faculty development organization. Misconceptions on the part of faculty, administrators, and faculty developers keep this integration from reaching its full potential. The facilitators of this session will conduct small group brainstorming sessions to identify and overcome obstacles presented by a range of institutional cultures. Building on their own successful integration model, the facilitators will exchange innovative strategies to scaffold the synthesis of teaching and technology.

NOTE:  Login instructions for the session will be sent in the Registration Confirmation Email. Please check your Junk folder as sometimes these emails get trapped there. We will also send an additional login reminder 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
