Description
Expertiza, a web-based application, supports student peer review of course assignments. This session will enable participants (TLT Group members) to decide if they can/should use Expertiza themselves, and to begin doing so in the near future. TLT Group members who participate in this session will be eligible to use Expertiza in academic year 2017-2018 with no fees or restrictions.
In Part 2: Ed and the Designated Learners we will walk through another mock assignment submission from a student perspective and instructor perspective.
Those who begin using Expertiza as a consequence of this session are encouraged BUT NOT REQUIRED to report on their experience to help the developers of Expertiza and/or provide the basis for additional TLT Group online sessions.
"Designated learners" will begin learning how to use Expertiza during this session. If you are interested in becoming an additional “designated learner” (we already have 2), contact Beth Dailey at dailey@tltgroup.org.
Goals
Enable participants (TLT Group members) to decide if they can/should use Expertiza themselves, and to begin doing so in the near future.
Set specific goals for use of Expertiza. Identify and schedule next steps.
Prepare for future TLT Group sessions on Expertiza and other online systems that support student peer review of course assignments.
NOTE: Login instructions for the session will be sent in the Registration Confirmation Email. Please check your Junk folder as sometimes these emails get trapped there. We will also send an additional login reminder 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
