Gerry Hanley will demonstrate www.SkillsCommons.org – the national repository of workforce development open educational resources (OER) funded by the US Department of Labor. Find free and open curriculum, open courseware, program support materials, and more that address topics of advanced manufacturing, healthcare, IT, energy, and more content targeted for community and technical colleges. He will showcase fully online certificate and course curriculum available to download for free as well as the support services to help you customize the resources for your own institutional needs.
NOTE: - The OER opportunities included in this repository can be used effectively in courses and educational institutions well beyond those dedicated solely to workforce development skills.
NOTE: Login instructions for the session will be sent in the Registration Confirmation Email. Please check your Junk folder as sometimes these emails get trapped there. We will also send an additional login reminder 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
