Choose 1: Twitter, Facebook, or Email?

How can faculty and other higher ed professionals use social media more effectively to communicate with their most valued students and colleagues?  How should we allocate our very limited time among email, FaceBook, Twitter, blogging, Minecraft, Zoom!... [Is Twitter as useful to higher ed as it seems to be to entertainers and politicians?]  

The TLT Group needs your help to address almost the same questions.  

How can we use social media more effectively to prepare, promote, and conduct FridayLive!? Help us interact with our members, colleagues, audience, supporters, (fans?)... How can wfocus our communications energy more effectively across: email, FaceBook, Twitter, blogging, online games, and, of course, Zoom! ?
